The mission of Montessori In Town is to offer the finest of educational experiences and maintain the high ideals of Dr. Montessori's standards while serving the vibrant, diverse in-town population of Atlanta, Georgia.

Founded in 2005, Montessori In Town is proud to be the first AMI-accredited Montessori school to serve Atlanta's unique in-town community. The school offers Elementary (ages 6 to 12), Primary (ages 3 to 6+), and Toddler (ages 1½  to 3) programs for children, where students are fostered to develop emotionally, socially, physically, and academically in a respectful atmosphere where differences are celebrated and respect is a cornerstone of our everyday work. Montessori In Town does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, disability, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, religious belief, or political affiliation.

Our school moved to its current location during the Summer of 2021. We will strive to cultivate a colorful, comfortable atmosphere in the classrooms that is very welcoming to the child. Each classroom has its own door to the outside, so children can choose to work indoors or outdoors throughout the day with easy access back and forth. Our outdoor classrooms and playground area provide garden spaces for children and equipment for exercise, exploration, and play. Our new location in East Atlanta is surrounded by a bustling and vibrant in-town community of shops, and restaurants, and is easily accessed from many neighborhoods.
